Does STARBUZZ charge fees or is an equity deal mandatory?
No, STARBUZZ is free of charge and we do not offer an equity deal for program admittance.
However, since STARBUZZ requires your presence for at least three months, you (and your team) need to cover costs for moving and living. This is your investment for participation in the program, but the value added you receive during our program in terms of advice, knowledge, contacts and opportunities is invaluable!
When applying, make sure you are able to move for the program duration to Mülheim or another city in our region.
STARBUZZ provides an office for your startup, so all you need is a place to live. We are happy to support you in this endeavor.
How does STARBUZZ work?
You (and your team) will take part in the accelerator program together with other startups for the duration of three months in Mülheim an der Ruhr. Your presence is required throughout the program, this means you will need to move into the accelerator for the duration of the program.
After three months, the accelerator culminates in „STARBUZZ Demo Day“, an invitation-only event where you will pitch for support in front of selected corporates and investors.
We are aware, that sometimes a startup has a longer „time to market“. Thus, if you can convince some of your mentors at the end of the three-month program for ongoing support, we will extend your stay in the accelerator for a second phase of additional three months.

Which startups are allowed to apply?
STARBUZZ focuses on digital commerce and logistics startups that target B2B and B2C segments. If your ideas, products or services are within this industry focus, you are encouraged to apply.
The range of possible business ares is wide: whether you provide solutions in the field of store/pos, connecting offline-online, payment and process solutions, new channels, warehousing & logistics, smart data or other newly engineered products and services.
When can I apply?
The application phase for our second batch starts on September 15, 2017. Click "Apply now" to register with us. We will then send you the application information.
How do I apply?
By clicking the “apply now”-button, you are required to register with us. You will then receive an application questionnaire that you need to fill in and submit to us. As an attachment, you need to provide a pitchdeck (15 charts only!) of your startup.
