Tengelmann Group and Tengelmann Ventures are supporting partners of STARBUZZ Digital Commerce Accelerator.
In a joint press conference, Tengelmann Group, Hochschule Ruhr West University of Applied Sciences, the City of Muelheim an der Ruhr and Muelheim & Business GmbH Economic Development Corporation have informed the news media on their collaboration in supporting STARBUZZ – the first independent accelerator for digital commerce and logistics startups. STARBUZZ will be located at the Tengelmann Headquarter Campus in Muelheim.
STARBUZZ offers an intensive program to support digital commerce and logistics startups in refining and scaling their business models. Leading companies from B2B and B2C commerce, logistics and manufacturing as well as specialist mentors from renowned IT, marketing, business development, law and finance firms form the extensive network that the accelerator provides for promising startups. What makes STARBUZZ special is its independence, while at the same time being backed by numerous leading companies with excellent resources and channels for promising startups.
STARBUZZ encourages startups from Germany and abroad to apply for the accelerator program. The application deadline is June 30, 2017. The first startup batch will start into the accelerator program in September 2017 in Mülheim an der Ruhr.
Tengelmann-CEO Karl-Erivan W. Hochschule Ruhr West University of Applied Sciences starts a unique ecommerce study program in this Winter term, adding to the strong ecosystem in the region. Finding highly qualified talent is one of the key determinants of future competitiveness – whether it’s for startups or established companies. The new study program along with an excellent prototyping infrastructure and the expertise of HRW-professors are part of the collaboration with STARBUZZ.
